Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi witnesses the group wedding ceremony "Sharjah Al Khair" eleventh

Sharjah, November 26 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed, this Wednesday evening, the eleventh “Sharjah Al Khair” group wedding ceremony, which was organized by the Sharjah Charitable Society, at the Al Jawaher Center for Events and Conferences.

The ceremony began with the recitation of clear verses from the Holy Quran, followed by Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Charitable Society, who gave a speech in which he expressed his happiness on this occasion. He said: “We are happy this evening to gather in joy. These are immortal days in which we celebrate the Union Day. The Sharjah Charity Society is always keen to choose its largest events to coincide with the state’s celebrations, on a night that carries human meanings that touch the hearts before the eyes rejoice.”

Al Suwaidi pointed out that the group wedding at the Sharjah Charitable Society has become one of the most important projects that we are proud of, because it translates on the ground the values ​​of solidarity and compassion on which this emirate was founded, and embodies the vision of the wise leadership in supporting young people and enabling them to build a stable family capable of facing life with steadfastness.

A member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Charitable Society recalled the beginning of the group wedding project.. and said: “We are meeting today to celebrate with 150 grooms in one of the largest group weddings organized by the association within the country, and through it we are following an extended journey that began in 1990, when the first steps of this project were launched by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to be the first group wedding in the entire Middle East region, and since that time, the project has not been merely An annual celebration, it has become a renewed message, the title of which is to support young people and protect them from the burdens of debt and the high costs of marriage.”

Al Suwaidi discussed the numbers of beneficiaries of the group weddings organized by the association, explaining that the Sharjah Charitable Society was keen to expand the circle of benefit year after year, until the total number of beneficiaries of this humanitarian project reached 2,136 grooms inside and outside the country, including 1,041 grooms who were citizens of the country, children of citizen women, holders of decrees, and children of residents whose fathers provided great services to the state.

A member of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Charitable Society appreciated the support of the benefactors for this project. He said: “The success of this project would not have been achieved without the support of the benefactors, led by the main supporter of group wedding projects, Abdul Rahim Al Zarouni, who presented an authentic model of human giving and embodied the meaning of benevolence with his actions before his words. Our thanks to him is a duty, and our prayers for him continue that God will reward him with the best reward, and put what he offers in the balance of his good deeds.”

He extended his sincere congratulations to the newlyweds and their families, stressing that the association will continue to support them in everything that enhances their stability, as family building is the foundation on which societies are built. The groom, Ahmed Al-Badwawi, then gave the newlyweds’ speech, expressing his happiness and joy at His Highness the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah honoring this ceremony, describing this night as the night of a new birth for dreams that were on hold, and for beginnings that they thought were far away, appreciating the support of the Sharjah Charity Association and the benefactors who contributed to opening doors for which they did not have the keys.

The groom, Ahmed Al-Badawi, called on his fellow brides to be overjoyed, especially as it coincides with the anniversary of Union Day, in which every person brings joy, pride, and loyalty to his dear homeland. The “Sharjah Al Khair” group wedding, organized by the Sharjah Charity Association, was launched in 2015 and continued over the years until it reached its eleventh year. It benefited 931 young people who were able to form cohesive and cohesive families, thanks to the material and moral support provided by the initiative, which contributed to alleviating the burdens of marriage on young people and encouraging them to build a stable family life. The program also constituted a successful model of social solidarity, and consolidated Sharjah’s position as an incubator for purposeful community projects.
