The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Caribbean Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago visits the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 27 November / WAM / His Excellency Sean Sobers, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Caribbean Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and a number of senior officials of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

His Excellency and the accompanying delegation toured the mosque’s halls and external corridors, and learned about the history of the mosque’s founding and its cultural message calling for coexistence, tolerance, and openness to others, emanating from the exploits and values ​​of the founding father, and the great role played by the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center in introducing tolerant Islamic culture, and promoting cultural communication between cultures and peoples around the world.

Cultural tour specialist Shaima Al-Kindi gave His Excellency and the accompanying delegation a detailed explanation of the aesthetics of the mosque and the splendor of Islamic architecture that was clearly evident in all its corners, and of the most wonderful works of Islamic civilization throughout the ages, of arts and engineering designs that came together despite their differences and diversity in the design of the mosque, to reflect the beauty of the harmony and harmony of cultures in one creative work.

On the sidelines of the visit, His Excellency said: “I have heard a lot about the spirit of openness in the UAE, and today I not only learned about it, but I lived it in reality. It is a country that embraces a wide diversity of races, religions and cultures, and our presence here and going through this experience allows us to carry this message with us, not only to Trinidad and Tobago, but to the entire world.”

The guest of the mosque was presented with a copy of the book “Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque / Stream of Peace”, which highlights the unique architectural art of the mosque, and takes readers on a photographic journey to learn about the aesthetics of the mosque’s architectural art, through a group of pictures that won the “Spaces of Light” award.
