Trump confirmed that his administration "It will expel anyone who does not add value to the United States or is unable to love this country, and it will end benefits and subsidies for non-Americans.".
He also stressed that "It will strip citizenship from immigrants who pose a threat to civil peace, and deport any foreign national who poses a public burden, represents a security risk, or is incompatible with Western values.".
After the attack, the American authorities announced the suspension of procedures for immigration applications for Afghans indefinitely.
