The Minister of Planning discusses with the President of the Export-Import Bank of China ways to increase investments

Al-Mashat reviewed the “National Narrative for Economic Development: Policies Supporting Growth and Employment,” which the government launched as a national framework that outlines the features of the country’s economic policies until 2030, stressing that achieving economic stability, enhancing the role of the private sector, and increasing the productivity of exportable sectors, represent the main pillars of the stage. She referred to the national program for structural reforms, which aims to improve the business environment, deepen local industrialization, and shift towards a more competitive, innovative, and sustainable economy..

 

The Minister expressed her appreciation for the important role played by “Exim Bank” In financing and implementing the first and second phases of the light electric rail project (LRT), in addition to the third phase currently being implemented, and the fourth phase to be implemented in cooperation with the Chinese side as well, and noted that the light rail project has become a prominent model of Egyptian cooperation – China in green transportation, explaining that the various projects implemented by Egypt in the field of infrastructure are reflected in enhancing the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy and improving the investment climate.."RTL" lang="AR-SA"Al-Mashat reviewed the green transformation efforts, especially through the national platform for green projects, the “Novi” program, which has become a model for national platforms in the field of attracting climate investments.

For his part, the President of the Bank said that Egypt is the first African country he has visited, which reflects its distinguished position and the Bank’s appreciation for it, as a pivotal strategic partner for the Bank and the Chinese side, indicating that Chinese companies are open to enhancing cooperation with the Egyptian side, and see the Egyptian market as an attractive and supportive environment for the growth of their investments.

 

He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation in coordinating and implementing joint projects. The two sides also expressed their keen desire to develop economic relations between the two countries, especially in expanding investments in the field of new and renewable energy and the battery industry.
