Students: Biology questions are easy and direct

Government school administrations called on students of the 12 years to expedite their registration in the higher education system, stressing that delaying registration within the specified period may limit the students’ chances of being accepted into the available academic programs.

Students in the 12th grade (general), the ninth grade, the 11th grade (advanced), and the 12th grade (general) who study biology, in public and private schools that implement the Ministry of Education’s curriculum, took the end-of-semester exams for the current academic year for the current academic year in biology yesterday, according to the official approved schedule for exams, and in an atmosphere characterized by discipline and organization.

Students in all grades are scheduled to take the social studies exam on Thursday, December 4th, following the UAE’s 45th National Day holiday.

In detail, the administrations of a number of schools sent letters to 12th grade students, reviewed by Emirates Today, calling on them to expedite the completion of registration procedures in the higher education system for the next semester, in order to ensure that their seats are preserved in the specializations in which they wish to enroll.

The departments stressed the importance of entering the system designated for registration as soon as possible, and completing all the required data and documents, while emphasizing the necessity of verifying the accuracy of the information before sending, to avoid any errors that may affect acceptance. The administrations warned that delaying registration during the specified period may limit students’ chances of being accepted into the available academic programs, stressing that adherence to deadlines contributes to a smooth and clear transition to higher education.

The schools called on their students to take advantage of the instructions file, which explains the registration steps in detail, to help them complete the process easily.

A number of students told Emirates Today that the content of the biology exam simulates the course in the first semester of the current academic year, and the questions were identical to the content of the approved ministerial structure on which the training was conducted. They expressed their satisfaction with the level of the exam, stressing that it was appropriate for the content of the textbook, and did not deviate from the scope of the prescribed units. They added that the exam was easy for students, and the level of questions allowed for high grades for those who prepared well.

On the other hand, some students indicated that there is a limited set of questions that require high concentration and careful analysis, stressing that they depend on the skill of excluding incorrect answers to arrive at the most appropriate option. Others also mentioned that there were about 10 questions with similar options, which necessitated greater accuracy in choosing. They confirmed that the questions came from the content of the textbook, especially the structure questions, considering that the exam as a whole is clear and measures the student’s understanding of the material fairly.

The school administrations explained that the grades excluded from taking the biology test include: the ninth grade in the general track in all its branches, and the tenth grade in the general track in all its branches (general and advanced), in addition to the 11th grade (general), and the 12th grade (advanced).

For its part, the Ministry of Education did not announce that it had received any complaints or inquiries from students and parents about the biology exam, as the questions came directly, from the curriculum, and were identical to the structure.
