Marita Al-Helani reveals how she told her father, Assi, about her decision to divorce her…and this is how he reacted (video)

Actress Marita Al-Helani participated in the “I Have a Question” podcast with journalist Muhammad Qais on “Al-Mashhad” channel.

Marita talked about how she told her father, the artist Assi El Helani, about her divorce, and said: “Thank God I am a lucky woman. I have a mother, father, brothers, and a family that supports and embraces me, and this is a blessing. My father also felt that I was not happy, and I remember that I did not reach a stage where I had to talk about the issue of divorce with my family, because they felt for me.”

Marita continued: “What I remember most is the sentence my father said to me: I brought you into this life so that you would be happy. In fact, all he cared about was my comfort and he never paid attention to what people said, and I will never forget this position of his throughout my life. My father is affectionate and he is my weak point and the lover of my heart, not because he is my father, but in fact no one can see him or not love him.”

Marita indicated that the experience she went through led to a shake in her confidence in people and those around her, and she admitted that she shocked those closest to her, as she said: “Yes, the masks fell, but I am strong. I am the daughter of Bekaa and the daughter of Helaniya, and we understand the principles.”

She concluded by saying: “Today I am in a transitional stage, and yes, I would love to wear the white dress again, and this is my right. Soon I will take this step, and everything is fine.”
