The martyrs of the Emirates provided an immortal example of the meanings of true sacrifice

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chief of the Presidential Office, affirmed that the martyrs of the Emirates provided an immortal example of the meanings of true sacrifice, and with their sacrifices wrote a bright page in the history of the nation, stressing that protecting it is a great responsibility that can only be undertaken by loyal men who made their lives a shield for it.

His Highness said in a speech on the occasion of Martyr’s Day: “On this day, corresponding to the thirtieth of November of each year, we stand in reverence and pride in recalling the memory of the righteous martyrs of the Emirates, who through their sacrifices established the highest meanings of sincerity, embodied the greatest images of courage and belonging, and gave their pure souls in defense of the nation, defending its pride and dignity.”

His Highness added: “Our martyrs have provided an immortal example of the meanings of true sacrifice, and with their sacrifices they have written a bright page in the history of the Emirates, stressing that protecting the homeland is a great responsibility that can only be undertaken by loyal men who made their lives a shield for this country.”

His Highness continued: “On this immortal occasion, we assure our children and future generations that the UAE’s martyrs are symbols of pride and symbols of glory, and that their fragrant biography will remain an inspiring beacon, pushing us to continue the journey with stronger determination and an unyielding will, and that their memory will remain alive in the conscience of every Emirati, as it is a firm covenant renewed in the souls that the homeland whose sons rose to defend it will remain a precious trust that we will protect with determination, loyalty and sincerity.”

His Highness concluded by saying: “May God have mercy on the nation’s righteous martyrs, and make their resting place Paradise, and grant our dear state the blessing of security and stability, and raise its flag flying high with the loyalty of its people, the sincerity of their resolve, and their sincere arms in serving their country and their leadership.”
