The Ministry of Culture and the Emirates Society for Social Development sign an agreement to enhance cultural awareness

Abu Dhabi, 30 November / WAM / The Ministry of Culture and the Emirates Society for Social Development in Ras Al Khaimah signed a joint cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening national partnerships in support of the cultural movement, and expanding the scope of programs and initiatives that contribute to spreading cultural and social awareness, empowering youth, and supporting national identity in society.
The agreement was signed by His Excellency Mubarak Al Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, and His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Abdul Latif Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Society for Social Development, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides.
Under the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in implementing joint cultural and community programs, organizing training events and workshops in the fields of national identity, heritage and culture, in addition to developing research projects, exchanging experiences, and supporting initiatives that enhance community participation and raise the level of cultural awareness among various segments of society.
The agreement also stipulates supporting Emirati talent, activating national programs related to culture and arts, and enabling various parties to access specialized cultural content, in addition to cooperation in the fields of documentation, publishing, and holding joint cultural events.
In a speech on this occasion, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture said: “This agreement reflects the Ministry’s keenness to build effective partnerships with community institutions, as they represent a fundamental pillar in enhancing the cultural presence in society. Culture is a shared responsibility that contributes to creating awareness and building people. We are pleased to cooperate with the association, as it is one of the leading institutions in the field of community development and supporting young energies and national talents.”
He added: “Through the agreement, we seek to expand the circle of cultural participation, launch programs that enhance national identity, support community mobility, and present innovative initiatives that contribute to supporting national priorities.”
His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Abdul Latif Khalifa, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, expressed the Association’s pride in this partnership, stressing the importance of institutional cooperation in achieving sustainable cultural and social development, noting that the agreement will contribute to the development of qualitative initiatives that serve the Emirati community.
The agreement comes within the efforts of the Ministry of Culture aimed at building a more comprehensive and integrated cultural system, enhancing cooperation with civil society institutions, and activating the role of culture in empowering people and consolidating the values of belonging, loyalty and national identity.
