An agreement to train and qualify 300 Saudis in automobile manufacturing technology
Signed by the National Automobile Academy "Nava" Strategic partnership agreement with a company "progress"to launch the Intermediate Diploma Program in Automotive Industry Technology, during the Future Generation Day.
This came within the work of the twenty-first session of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in the city of Riyadh, under the patronage of the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Kharif.
Partnership Objectives
The partnership aims to develop the automotive sector in the Kingdom, and enhance national competencies and capabilities in the areas of electric vehicle manufacturing, by training and qualifying 300 Saudi trainees in the coming years, in support of… To localize industries and enhance national productivity.
The objectives include: Contributing to preparing a new generation of local competencies qualified to lead the sector, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in building competitive national industries.
The General Director of (NAFA), Mohammed Al-Suhaim, said that the agreement represents an extension of the academy’s commitment to supporting the path of national industrial transformation, noting that the role of (NAFA) is not limited to providing training programs, but extends to enabling Saudi youth to join quality jobs within Leading national companies such as, which enhances the presence of national competencies in modern industries.
He said, the CEO of the company "progress" James De Luca: "Based on our role in launching the automotive industry in the Kingdom, we believe that developing national talent is a major driver of innovation and growth, and as a founding partner of the National Academy of Vehicles and Automotive "Nava"We are committed to empowering Saudi technicians with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead the future of the automotive sector in the Kingdom".
