Union Day established the foundations of one united and prosperous state

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, confirmed that December 2 is an immortal national day, which witnessed the establishment of a firm union that united hearts and wills under one banner, after which a glorious march began that gave the UAE a high status among nations, and consolidated the foundations of a strong, united, prosperous homeland enjoying security, stability, and progress.

His Highness said in a speech on the occasion of the 54th Union Day: “On the fifty-fourth anniversary of the establishment of the United Arab Emirates, we extend our highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Office, and to their brothers, Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, Members of the Supreme Council of the Federation, Rulers of the Emirates, and to our honorable people, the pillar of this blessed march.”

His Highness the Ruler of Ajman added: “This dear anniversary comes upon us to renew our feelings of loyalty, belonging, and pride in a pioneering country that rose from the sands of the desert to create an advanced position for itself in the fields of development, progress, economy, and innovation, and today it reaches space carrying the aspirations of its people toward a more prosperous and sustainable future.”

His Highness said: “On this day, we remember the founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and his brothers, the founding fathers, who laid the first building block for a strong, cohesive union, and whose children followed in their footsteps, to continue building a modern state that provides a decent life for its children and for everyone who lives on its land in various vital sectors.”

His Highness pointed out that the founding fathers, when they agreed to establish the federation and unify the country’s banner, realized that the human being is the foundation of structure and the pillar of bet in the process of development and the move towards the future. Thanks to that vision, the UAE today has become a destination for aspirants, a home for those seeking success, work and decent living, and an example of a state that creates its future with the will and competencies of its loyal people.

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi stressed that the people of the Emirates renew, on this great day, their support for their wise leadership, which strives tirelessly to secure the best elements of a decent life, and to consolidate the UAE’s position as a pioneering country in various fields.

His Highness said: “Our celebration of the 54th Union Day is a celebration and devotion to established and solid values, and we affirm on this glorious day that we are moving, God willing, towards a bright future in which achievements will increase and the nation’s flag will rise high among nations and in various fields.”

At the end of his speech, His Highness the Ruler of Ajman called on God Almighty to grant the Emirates, its people and the residents of its good land the blessing of security and stability, and to always enjoy goodness, well-being and prosperity.
