The cleaning campaign carried out by the Khafji Governorate Municipality, last week, resulted in the removal of 5,890 cubic meters of waste of unknown origin. And removing waste of unknown origin, in addition to solid and household waste.

Engineer Al-Yami stated that 5 heavy machinery were used to survey vacant lands in a number of neighborhoods, streets and squares of the governorate, with the participation of observers and municipal officials from Field teams, which contributed to removing sand and dust from side and side streets, in addition to mechanical sweeping, adding that a number of waste containers were secured in some neighborhoods and the damaged ones were replaced, and field teams were baptized during the campaign period for the main streets and side roads to remove solid waste, clear the yards, and remove plastic, metal, paper, and canned pickups.
He noted that the municipality seeks, through the campaign, to raise the level of public cleanliness and environmental awareness and eliminate the phenomenon of random throwing. Building rubble and waste between residential neighborhoods and disposing of them in proper ways, which contributes to maintaining public cleanliness.
Engineer Muhammad bin Ali Al-Yami called on everyone to cooperate and not throw waste randomly, and to report any observations through the 940 notification center.
