"AC Milan" and"Dubai Culture" They launch an artistic work to celebrate Eid Al-Adha

Dubai, May 27 / WAM / The Italian club AC Milan, in partnership with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), announced the launch of a special creative work to celebrate Eid Al Adha bearing the imprints of the Emirati artist Fatima Al Kaabi, as part of the authority’s support for the “Eid in Dubai” campaign, which falls under the umbrella of the “Walfa” season, the initiative aimed at strengthening family ties and celebrating Emirati community and cultural events, in a way that contributes to Reviving local heritage, consolidating the values of communication, generosity, and solidarity, and enhancing the spirit of friendship and rapprochement among community members.
The artwork takes its visual elements from the “Rossoneri” identity and the Sadu arts, which are listed on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage, in an embodiment that reflects the convergence of heritage with contemporary creativity and highlights the strength of cultural and artistic exchange between the two sides.
The cooperation comes in the context of Dubai Culture’s efforts to preserve local heritage and present it in contemporary ways, in addition to supporting Emirati artists and creators and enabling them to access global platforms that enhance their presence on the international scene.
Al Kaabi was inspired by the idea of the Eid greeting card from the vertical lines and shades of red, black and white, which have formed part of the visual identity of AC Milan since its founding by Herbert Kilpin, to intersect with the vocabulary of the Emirati Sadu and its inherited geometric rhythm… and employed elements inspired by the local environment and the spirit of Eid, reflecting the values of generosity, communication and the authenticity of Emirati culture within a contemporary visual treatment.
The new creative work, which will be published through the club’s channels and official accounts, reflects the strength of the relationship between AC Milan in the Middle East region, and it is considered the most followed club among Italian clubs in both the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with more than 11 million fans, according to “Nielsen” and “GWI” data.
Since the opening of “Casa Milan Dubai” in 2023, the club has continued to expand its presence in the region by implementing joint initiatives and projects with institutions and local talents, including artistic experiences with Emirati director and producer Nayla Al Khaja and artist Karim Gharavi, which reflects its interest in building bridges that combine sports, culture and creativity.
