Al-Ahly player receives an official offer from Barcelona

Egyptian media reported that Al-Ahly club player Hamza Abdel Karim received an official offer from Barcelona.

The FilGoal website quoted a source in Al-Ahly club as saying that the Spanish club Barcelona sent an official offer requesting a contract with Hamza Abdel Karim to join its second team on loan for a period of 6 months with the right to purchase.

Hamza Abdel Karim, 17 years old, is considered one of the most prominent rising talents in Egypt and Africa. He excelled admirably in the U-17 World Cup, which was held in Qatar. He also participated with Al-Ahly in its match against Shabab El Kabylie in the African Champions League.

The Spanish newspaper Sport had previously indicated that the Catalan club had entered into official negotiations with Al-Ahly, to obtain the signature of Hamza, who was also among the options of the German club Bayern Munich, which tried to sign him, but the refusal of Al-Ahly management disrupted the transfer deal. It is expected that the fate of the deal will be decided in the coming weeks.
