"Family development": The Union is a renewed legacy and the Emirates creates the future
ABU DHABI, 2nd December, 2017 (WAM) – Her Excellency Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Family Development Foundation, confirmed that the Union is a renewed legacy, and the Emirati family is a major partner in creating the future.
She pointed out that the Union was and remains the greatest achievement in the history of the UAE, and the basis of advancement from which its accelerated development path began, thanks to the vision of its wise leadership that placed people at the heart of the process of construction and development, and established the noble values established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” and his brothers, the founding fathers, who instilled the meanings of unity, cohesion, and joint work, until the UAE became a role model for development and stability. Her Excellency said in a statement on the occasion of the 54th Union Day: “Our celebration of this dear national occasion is a celebration of a glorious process of giving and leadership, led by a wise leadership that believed in the ability of the nation’s people to create the future, and established a unique development model based on enhancing the quality of life and advancing the human being.”
Al Rumaithi explained that Union Day represents a renewed national occasion to confirm the Family Development Foundation’s commitment to its vital role in enhancing family stability and the well-being of society, through pioneering social programs and services based on the vision of the wise leadership and keeping pace with the needs of the Emirati family at its various stages.
She confirmed that the Foundation, under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, continues to implement qualitative initiatives that enhance the quality of family life, establish the values of community cohesion and cohesion, and support the empowerment of senior citizens, in a way that embodies the spirit of the Union and advances its gains towards new horizons of growth and excellence.
Her Excellency stressed that the Union is a civilized vision that has realized from its beginnings that the family is the basic foundation in building the human being and creating the future. From the family originate the values that preserve the identity of society, and from it the building blocks of belonging, loyalty and national action are formed.
