المملكة: Urgent: The Crown Prince: The budget confirms that the citizen’s interest is the Kingdom’s government’s top priority


His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs – may God protect him – said that the budget confirms that the interest of the citizen is at the top of the priorities of the Kingdom’s government, and that the great achievements achieved were thanks to God and then under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the efforts of its sons and daughters.

His Highness continued that the structural transformation the Kingdom has achieved since the launch of Vision 2030 has contributed to improving the growth rates of non-oil activities, and continuing to contain inflation at levels lower than its counterparts. globalization, developing the business environment, enhancing the role of the private sector to be an active partner in development, and consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a global economic and investment center.

His Highness the Crown Prince added: The Kingdom’s government continues its efforts to support economic growth and maintain the sustainability of public finances; In order to enhance the ability of the local economy to face global fluctuations and challenges, while maintaining the momentum of sustainable development, by continuing to adopt flexible and disciplined financial, economic and social policies based on long-term planning, with the systematic use of sovereign financing tools in accordance with the framework of the medium-term debt strategy.

His Highness praised the positive indicators of the Saudi economy that come as an extension of the Kingdom’s ongoing reforms in light of Vision 2030; Preliminary estimates indicate a growth in real GDP of 4.6%, driven by the growth of non-oil activities, which continued their pivotal role in driving economic growth, recording a growth rate of 4.8%.

His Highness the Crown Prince chaired the session held by the Council of Ministers today, Tuesday in Dammam, to approve the state’s general budget for the next fiscal year 1447/1448 AH (2026 AD).

The Council of Ministers reviewed the items of the state’s general budget for the fiscal year 1447/1448 AH (2026 AD), He issued his decision regarding it, including the following:

  • The state’s public expenditures are approved in the amount of (1,312,800,000,000) one thousand three hundred and twelve billion and eight hundred million riyals.
  • The state’s public revenues are estimated at (1,147,400,000,000) one thousand one hundred and forty-seven billion and four hundred million riyals.
  • It is estimated The deficit is in the amount of (165,400,000,000) one hundred and sixty-five billion and four hundred million riyals.
