The Kremlin confirms that no agreement has been reached.. Did the American talks fail?

Declare The Kremlin on Tuesday evening said that it had not yet reached a settlement regarding the occupied territories in Ukraine, after hours-long talks with US envoy Steve Witkov and President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Kremlin diplomatic advisor Yuri Ushakov said in response to a journalist’s question about the occupied Ukrainian territories: "So far, we have not reached a settlement, but it is possible to discuss some American proposals".
He explained that "The conversations were very useful and constructive" but "There is still a lot of work" Putin regarding Ukraine with the American envoy Steve Witkopf and the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump.
The meeting lasted about 5 hours, which dealt with a modified American plan to end the war that has been going on for nearly 4 years in Ukraine.
