The Kingdom pays great attention to people with disabilities, and this is evident in what it provides to People with special needs of all nationalities in the Two Holy Mosques.

On 5/27/1439 AH, Cabinet Resolution No. (266) was issued establishing the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, as an official umbrella umbrella for everything concerned with persons with disabilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The organization specified the authority’s tasks and powers.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, issued Royal Decree No. M27, dated 2/11/1445 AH, approving the system for the rights of persons with disabilities.

People with disabilities in the Grand Mosque

The General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque paid its attention and care to the people .

‏The authority was keen to facilitate the movement of vehicles through ramps, by installing information signs and special paths equipped with clear instructions and signs that facilitate the movement process, and it placed guidance paths and posters explaining the places where services are provided for people with disabilities and the elderly, and provided free manual and electric carts to serve them.

The reciprocating golf carts provided by the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque as part of its initiative "Warmth" One of the forms of attention and care for people with disabilities and the elderly, as the visitor can benefit from it by transporting him from the squares surrounding the Grand Mosque to the places designated for them

The General Presidency for the affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque also allocated (25) lanes in the Mataf courtyard, and (4) paths for the elderly and people with disabilities, through its plan to manage crowds, organize access to the Mataf courtyard, Masa’a, and prayer rooms, and implement preventive and precautionary measures at home. The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque also provided support services for people with disabilities in various parts of the Grand Mosque through chapels prepared for them and equipped with supporting tools and means. The General Administration for Services for Persons with Disabilities in the Agency for Care of the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque seeks to provide exceptional and comprehensive services for persons with disabilities, which reflects the Kingdom’s keenness to serve this group and meet their needs in the Prophet’s Mosque.
The following are the most prominent efforts and initiatives undertaken by the administration:
Equipped chapels: Number of chapels: 10 chapels were prepared, distributed throughout the mosque.
3 Chapels in the Northern Expansion
3 Chapels in the Western Expansion.
3 Chapels in the Eastern Expansion.

A special room for the deaf and mute
A room has been allocated on the western roof of the mosque with a capacity of 100 people, where they can perform prayers and understand the Friday sermon via sign language.

Field Services

Private parking: Designated parking spaces have been provided in the agency building to facilitate access for people with disabilities.
Free trolleys: Providing 2,500 free trolleys distributed through the Doors Management Office (Chapter 7).

Accessible facilities

Electric elevators: Creating two electric elevators on the eastern and western sides (Chapter 9 and Chapter 33) to transport people with special needs to the roof.
Sliders: Sliders were designed next to the entrances to the mosque to facilitate the movement of vehicles.
Toilets: Providing special bathrooms for the elderly and people with disabilities in all facilities, creating shelves in women’s bathrooms to facilitate child care.
