المملكة: Establishing 7 model animal production complexes to support 56,000 beneficiaries across the Kingdom


The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program announced «Rural Saudi Arabia” announced the completion of seven model animal production complexes distributed in several regions, with the aim of raising the efficiency of the Livestockand supporting small breeders to achieve the goals of Vision 2030.

Recent projects included the regions of Medina, Al-Qassim, Najran, and Hail, in addition to Jubail, Hafr Al-Batin, and Arar, where work is continuing to complete construction and preliminary operation to receive the beneficiaries soon.

Improving the living standards of small breeders

The official spokesman for the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development Program “Saudi Countryside,” Majed Al-Braikan, described, These complexes represent a qualitative leap in the rural labor system, indicating that they will contribute directly to improving the living standards of small breeders and improving their outputs.

Al-Braikan revealed the launch of the advanced digital system “Flock Smart” dedicated to farm management, which allows tracking productivity, assessing health status, and digitizing herd records, to ensure the sustainability of operational processes.

He pointed to the preparation of a package of precise technical studies to characterize small ruminants, in an effort to improve the efficiency of breeding. And enabling farmers to adopt scientific methods that enhance the quality of meat and diversify incomes.

Field training

At the field training level, the program implemented ten specialized training courses in the regions of Asir, Jazan, and Qassim, aimed at transferring knowledge about modern feeding practices, managing fodder resources, and raising the operational readiness of rural communities.

The sector for enhancing the capabilities of small breeders focuses on developing herds of sheep, goats, and camels within desert environments, with the aim of investing in Optimization of natural resources and development of traditional systems to support the national food security system.

The base of beneficiaries of livestock sector support programs exceeded 56 thousand beneficiaries across the Kingdom, which reflects the tangible impact of the initiatives in creating sustainable agricultural and economic development.
