Festival closing "Union Day" At Liwa Sports Club

Abu Dhabi, 3 December / WAM / Liwa Sports Club concluded the 54th Union Day Festival, which was held in the Tel Mereb area over four days, amid a large audience presence and a festive atmosphere that embodied the spirit of the national occasion, through freestyle parade activities and a sand car parade, with wide participation of racers from inside and outside the country.

The festival witnessed the organization of two days of free demonstration and two days of sand demonstration, where 72 cars participated in the free demonstration, competing in three categories, resulting in the crowning of an elite group of contestants.

In the “T” category, Theyab Nasser Al-Rubaie from the Emirates won first place, Mohammed Rashid Al Dhaheri from the Emirates came second, while Abdul Rahman Al-Qahtani from Qatar came third.

In the “N” category, Fares Mohammed Al Darmaki from the UAE won first place, while Ahmed Abdullah Al Shaiba from the UAE came second, and Mohammed Juma Al Dahmani from the UAE came third.

As for the “S” category, Abdullah Al-Shamili from the Emirates won first place, Mohammed Juma Al-Dahmani from the Emirates came second, and Hamad bin Musa Al-Balushi from the Emirates came third.

As for the sand show, in which 56 cars participated, Hamad bin Musa Al Balushi from the Emirates won first place in the 6-cylinder category, followed by Saeed Sulaiman Al Nuaimi from the Emirates in second place, then Hussein Ahmed Al Shujab from Saudi Arabia in third place.

In the Hilux category, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Hamad from Saudi Arabia achieved first place, his compatriot Ahmed Al-Roumi Abu Sheikha came second, while Yasser Saleh Al-Amro, also from Saudi Arabia, came third.

In the 8-cylinder category, Abdul Rahman Yousef Al-Arini from Saudi Arabia achieved first place, Saeed Muftah Al-Khateri from the Emirates came second, and Muhammad Khalfan Al-Shamsi from the Emirates came third.

During the festival days, the Tal Mereb area witnessed widespread activity and remarkable interaction from the public, who enjoyed the festive atmosphere accompanying Union Day.

Liwa Sports Club confirmed that organizing the festival is part of its ongoing efforts to support events and enhance the region’s presence as a distinguished sports and entertainment destination, especially with the large public turnout for the event.
