The UAE documents its media journey through its pavilion in the media center for the Gulf Summit

Manama, 3 December / WAM / The UAE participates with a distinguished pavilion within the activities of the media center accompanying the work of the 46th summit of leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, within the framework of the country’s keenness to highlight its media and civilizational role and enhance the process of joint Gulf action.

The pavilion presents a comprehensive picture of the media and cultural scene in the country by displaying film and documentary material about the stages of development of the Emirati media, and highlights the historical milestones that the national media institutions have gone through since their founding all the way to the technical and digital development that the country is witnessing today.

The visual presentations also highlight the vital role played by the Emirati media in keeping pace with the development and construction process.

The pavilion offers a valuable collection of books and specialized publications that focus essentially on the depth of the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

This participation confirms the role of the media as a bridge for cultural communication, and an effective tool for strengthening the deep historical ties that bring together the peoples of the GCC countries, in a way that serves the region’s aspirations towards greater integration and prosperity.
