The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights follows the progress of voting in the runoff round for the first stage

Today, the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development is following up on the progress of voting in the runoff round for the first stage.

The voting process is taking place in (20) electoral districts distributed among (7) governorates in 

– (7) districts in Sohag Governorate

– (4) districts in Qena Governorate

– (3) districts in Qena Governorate. Beheira

– (3) districts in Fayoum Governorate

– (district) in Assiut Governorate

– (district) in Alexandria Governorate

– (district) in Giza Governorate

 

Where voters registered in those districts go to a number of (1775) subcommittees to choose from a number of (551) candidates. They are competing for (43) seats. The coalition’s observers will monitor and document the progress of the vote-casting process over the two days for the House of Representatives elections, which are being held in 20 electoral districts across the republic, amid a significant turnout from citizens in a number of committees since the first hours of the opening of the polls.

 

The coalition confirmed in a statement that the central operations room is following around the clock the course of the electoral process through direct communication with the governorate coordinators and observers deployed within the districts that A repeat will be conducted to monitor any observations or obstacles that may affect the conduct of voting.

 

The statement explained that the electoral process is proceeding regularly and calmly in most of the committees, with the commitment of the concerned authorities to implement organized procedures, and a clear presence of police forces to secure the vicinity of the committees and facilitate the entry and exit of voters.

 

The coalition indicated that it had received several preliminary reports indicating To:

 

The regular opening of committees on time.

 

The availability of judges and supervisors in their positions.

 

The presence of moderate queues in urban area committees, 

 

Not recording any serious violations that might even disrupt the voting process. Now.
