Emirates Airlines activates the interline agreement with Bahamas Airways

Dubai, 3 December / WAM / Emirates Airlines announced today the activation of its interline partnership agreement with Bahamas Airways to provide seamless travel options for customers heading to the Bahamas.

The partnership between the two carriers allows Emirates Airlines to expand the scope of its services in the Caribbean region, as its customers will be able to travel via Bahamas Air, the national carrier of the Bahamas, through two airports in the state of Florida to two destinations within the Bahamas: Nassau on Paradise Island, and Freeport on Grand Bahama Island.

The interline agreement was activated following a memorandum of understanding signed between the two carriers last June, and Emirates passengers can now book their entire trip from any point within the carrier’s network to Orlando or Miami, and then continue traveling to Nassau or Freeport, all through one ticket and one baggage policy for both carriers.

Miami and Orlando airports in Florida are among twelve destinations currently served by Emirates Airlines in the United States of America.

Earlier this year, Emirates Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Bahamas with the aim of cooperating in promoting tourism to this destination in the Caribbean region.
