Deputy Minister of Tourism: 275 billion riyals, the volume of spending in the sector
Deputy Minister of Tourism Princess Haifa Al Saud said: "We exceeded 100 million tourists and reached 116 million tourists from home and abroad, while the volume of spending in the tourism sector reached 275 billion riyals.
She added during a dialogue session at the Saudi Arabia Budget 2026: The volume of spending in the tourism sector increased by about 105 billion riyals until the end of the third quarter of 2025, thanks to local tourism with a growth rate of 18%.
She continued: "We target 150 million tourists in 2030, while the number of Touristsby the end of the third quarter of 2025, while we focus on target markets to attract tourists".
It reported an increase in the percentage of European tourists: 14%, in addition to a 15% increase in the percentage of tourists from East Asia and the Pacific.
She pointed out that we should not forget the local market and local tourists, especially since they are essential elements in sustainable growth.
She expected that the fourth quarter would witness growth, especially with the programs launched by the Ministry for the Saudi winter and the Saudi season.
