Supporting joint Gulf action is an essential pillar for promoting the interests of the GCC countries

On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Presidential Office, headed the UAE delegation to the summit of leaders of the 46 Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the work of which was opened today by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan also participated in the work of the joint Gulf-Italian session in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni – guest of honor of the Gulf Summit – and the leaders and representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which discusses strengthening cooperation and partnership relations between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Italy and opening broader horizons for joint work in a way that serves the relations of both sides and contributes to achieving the aspirations of their peoples towards development and prosperity.

The state delegation to the summit included His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for International Cooperation Affairs Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, and Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister of State and State Ambassador to the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain. In a speech on the occasion of the 46th Gulf Summit, the UAE stressed that supporting joint Gulf action is an essential foundation for promoting the interests of the GCC countries, meeting the aspirations of their people, and consolidating security, stability, development and prosperity in the region, noting the importance of building on the gains achieved and moving towards broader horizons of integration.

It also stressed its keenness to continue supporting the Gulf cooperation process, based on its deep belief in the historical ties and common destiny that brings together the GCC countries, and the great potential it possesses to enhance joint action and achieve the strategic interests of its countries and peoples.

She expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the King of the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, praising the Kingdom’s success in hosting the summit and its keenness to support the joint Gulf action system.

The UAE also praised the efforts of the sister State of Kuwait during its presidency of the previous session of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, stressing that the achievements achieved represent an important addition to the Council’s journey and a strong base for strengthening cooperation in the next stage.

The state expressed its wishes of success to the Kingdom of Bahrain in presiding over the current session, and its appreciation for the efforts made by their Highnesses, the ministers, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the General Secretariat in preparing and organizing the summit’s work.
