" Federal National " Participates in the meeting of the Political Committee of the Asian Parliamentary Association in Iran
Mashhad – Iran, 4 December / WAM / Her Excellency Dr. Nidal Muhammad Al-Taniji, member of the Federal National Council group in the Asian Parliamentary Association, participated in the work of the Political Affairs Committee of the Association and in the meeting of the Subcommittee on Palestine, held in the Iranian city of Mashhad today with the participation of representatives of the member parliaments of the Association.
Her Excellency Dr. Nidal Al-Taniji said in an intervention to the Federal National Council that our role as parliamentarians at this critical time lies in uniting efforts and striving seriously to advance our societies, by establishing the principles of cooperation and integration between our parliaments, and moving forward in developing policies and legislation that support justice, ensure equality, and provide an enabling environment that encourages active participation in creating a sustainable and prosperous future for all.
She stressed the importance of commitment to continuing joint parliamentary work and coordination, especially in light of the challenges facing the world today, which require from us the utmost levels of solidarity and awareness of shared responsibility.
The committee discussed draft resolutions related to good governance, rule of law and judicial empowerment, good parliamentary practices, building prosperity in Asia through friendship and cooperation, Asian parliaments and governments together for prosperity in Asia, and harmonious development through democracy.
Her Excellency Dr. Nidal Muhammad Al-Taniji also participated in the meeting of the Subcommittee on Palestine. She said in her Federal National Council speech that our Arab region and the Middle East are going through a difficult stage, as the region is witnessing rapid changes and continuing crises that directly affect regional and international security and peace. In light of these great challenges, it has become necessary for us to work together, as parliamentarians, to enhance cooperation and joint coordination to ensure the stability of the region, protect its security, and provide an appropriate environment to achieve development and prosperity for our peoples.
She concluded by saying that based on our consistent approach, the UAE believes that dialogue and diplomacy are the guaranteed solution to address crises and conflicts, build bridges of partnership and cooperation, and promote the values of solidarity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
