"Dubai Electricity and Water" It is looking to enhance cooperation with Italy in the fields of sustainability and clean energy
Dubai, 5 December / WAM / Dubai Electricity and Water Authority discussed ways to enhance cooperation with Italy in areas of common interest, especially sustainability, clean energy, innovation and initiatives that are in line with the UAE’s sustainability goals and Italian innovations in renewable energy technologies.
This came during a meeting with His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, His Excellency Lorenzo Vanara, Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the UAE, and His Excellency Edoardo Napoli, Italian Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
During the meeting, His Excellency Saeed Al Tayer stressed DEWA’s keenness to cooperate and welcome Italian companies and international partners, to exchange experiences, encourage innovations and benefit from best practices and modern technologies in the field of sustainability, clean energy and the circular economy.
During the meeting, His Excellency reviewed the Authority’s efforts, initiatives and strategic projects aimed at achieving the vision of the wise leadership in advancing the process of sustainability and the green economy.
He talked about the Authority’s investments in advanced energy storage systems and smart grid technologies to enhance energy efficiency and ensure the reliability of energy supplies, including the use of smart meters and the integration of artificial intelligence.
For its part, the Italian delegation expressed its appreciation for the pioneering efforts made by Dubai in sustainability, and also praised the achievements of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority in the renewable and clean energy sector, expressing its keenness to enhance future cooperation opportunities and build strategic partnerships that contribute to advancing development and innovation in vital sectors.
