"Future trader" Celebrates Emirati Children’s Day
Ajman, 12 March / WAM / The Department of Economic Development in Ajman is organizing the “Merchant of the Future” event next Saturday and Sunday at Mushairef Market, as part of the Entrepreneurship Week activities and coinciding with Emirati Children’s Day.
The event aims to instill the concepts of entrepreneurship in the hearts of children, and to enhance their early participation in the economic process in an innovative educational and interactive manner, in line with the state’s directions to prepare conscious and qualified generations for the future.
The initiative introduces children to the basics of buying and selling and trade concepts in a simplified way, and develops their skills in communicating with the public, marketing, dealing with products, understanding the value of money, bearing responsibility and making decisions.
It also enhances the spirit of self-confidence and self-reliance and encourages creative and innovative thinking in managing sales outlets.
The department stressed the importance of enabling the child to participate in the economic process, not as a temporary activity, but rather as an active element in building the economy of the future, through practical experience that simulates the real business environment, to discover his inclinations and talents and hone his abilities from a young age.
