The President’s Cup attracts the elite "Arabian horses" Tomorrow in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, December 5 / WAM / Abu Dhabi Racecourse will host the 33rd edition of the His Highness the President of the State’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses tomorrow.

The evening includes 7 competitive rounds, including 2 cup races for purebred Arabian and hybrid horses, with prizes of 10.8 million dirhams.

The President’s Cup race, for a distance of 2,200 meters, will be held in the seventh round, and its prizes are 8 million dirhams, and it attracts elite riders and horses.

15 of the best horses in the world are competing in the race, most notably HM Al Shaheen, RB King Maker, who won the preparatory race for the President’s Cup for Arabian Horses, Ajrad Athba, F Maqam, Saud, Joe Star, and Hameem.

It represents Qatar’s horses, “Lusail” and “Malfat”, Libya’s horses “Nabucco Al-Mori”, “Canale Dufaust”, and “Djaafar”, the Sultanate of Oman’s horses, “Sunny Du Loup”, and the American horses, “First Class”.

The evening will also witness the His Highness the President’s Cup for purebred hybrid horses in the sixth round, for a distance of 1,400 metres, with prizes of one million dirhams.

The events begin with the Abu Dhabi Racing Club race, over a distance of 2,200 metres, with prizes of 150,000 dirhams, for purebred Arabian fillies and mares aged 4 years and above.

Horses aged 4 years and above participate in the Yas Cup Speed ​​Race in the second half, over a distance of 1,200 metres, for the third category, and its prizes are 400,000 dirhams.

Horses aged 3 years will compete in the “Al Wathba Mile” race, in the third half, for a distance of 1,600 metres, with prizes of 350,000 dirhams.

The fourth half, for a distance of 1,600 metres, includes the Emirates Breeders’ Cup race for local breed horses aged 4 years and above, and its prizes are 500,000 dirhams, while the fifth half, for a distance of 2,200 metres, is held for horses aged 4 years, with the title “Abu Dhabi Derby”, and its prizes are 400,000 dirhams.
