The Foreign Minister meets the former Secretary-General of the United Nations

Dr. met. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, on Saturday, December 6, on the sidelines of his participation in the Doha Forum. His membership in the Committee of the Wise.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed Egypt’s full support for the multilateral international system, especially in light of the complex global challenges that the world is going through today, stressing that international cooperation remains the most effective means of enhancing stability and achieving development at the regional and international levels, in light of the unprecedented geopolitical and economic developments the world is witnessing.
In the same context, he renewed Minister Badr Abdel Aty stressed Egypt’s adherence to the basic principles of the United Nations Charter since its joining the organization, explaining that Egyptian foreign policy has historically been based on respect for these principles. The region, pointing to the grave challenges left by wars and conflicts in recent years, stressing the need to rely on diplomatic paths to achieve peace, security and stability in the region, indicating that Egypt will continue its tireless efforts to resolve crises and support security and stability.
