The Foreign Minister affirms Egypt’s commitment to promoting responsible digital transformation and developing artificial intelligence policies

During his meeting today, Saturday, with Dima Al-Yahya, Secretary-General of the Organization for Digital Cooperation on the sidelines of the Doha Forum, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, affirmed Egypt’s commitment to promoting responsible digital transformation and developing artificial intelligence policies.
During the meeting, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty appreciated the organization’s efforts in enhancing cooperation between developing countries on issues of technology and digital governance.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs referred to Egypt’s activity in the digital fields in all its aspects on The Arab and African level, in addition to its role as an active partner in formulating multilateral digital cooperation frameworks, as well as data governance and artificial intelligence frameworks.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also reviewed the tangible progress that has been achieved in the field of artificial intelligence, data governance, and digital capacity building through the launch of the second phase of the national strategy for artificial intelligence, as well as the adoption of the open data policy in 2025. Most notably artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital inclusion.
