The Ministry of Interior joins citizens in celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Ministry of Interior was keen to participate in the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, as it took the initiative to provide and deliver wheelchairs for cases that required it in various governorates.

Wheelchairs were distributed to persons with disabilities in the new urban areas; This initiative reflects the Ministry’s interest in providing practical and moral support to people with disabilities, especially since they are an essential part of the fabric of society and a major partner in the development process, and in a manner consistent with the concepts of human rights and the National Human Rights Strategy.

In a practical application of the human rights concepts that are instilled in the students of the Police College, the students participated in the activities of celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities through their participation in visits to schools for people with special needs, and homes for caring for disabled orphans, and distributing gifts to them, amidst their joy at this appreciation, support, and attention given by the Ministry. Interior for them.

In continuation of the Ministry of Interior’s celebrations of this humanitarian occasion; A number of people with disabilities were taken to the headquarters of the Civil Status Sector, as well as the General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality, to obtain their needs from the sources free of charge. This comes within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to facilitate their access to various police sites and provide them with services in a decent and civilized manner.
