Messi lifts the American League Cup for the first time in Inter Miami’s history (video)

Argentine star Lionel Messi led Inter Miami to win the Major League Soccer Cup title for the first time in the club’s history, after defeating the Vancouver Whitecaps (3-1) in the final that took place today, Sunday, at Chase Stadium.
Messi said in statements to the Euro Sport website: “It is a wonderful and moving moment for us, and for the people of Miami, to achieve our goal in the American League. It is a completely new club, so to speak. When we played for it previously, we were lucky after winning the title, but this was our real goal, which was to win and sit at the top of the league, and fortunately we achieved it.”
He added: “We were lucky to play at home, which was a great joy for the fans, so we have to enjoy it.”
