Schubert denounces allegations that Youssef Mohamed used steroids

The journalist Ahmed Schubert thanked the Public Prosecution for the transparent and strict investigation into the death of the young player Youssef Mohamed, aged 12 years, during the Republic Swimming Championship at the swimming complex in Cairo Stadium.
Schubert said in his radio program on Radio On Sport FM today, Monday, that the Public Prosecution decided to detain the general referee and three of the rescue crew pending investigation. To prove their direct responsibility in the accident, he stressed that the prosecution will continue investigations to reach the full circumstances of the incident.
Schubert explained that the Public Prosecution began the investigation immediately after receiving the report on the evening of December 2, and moved to the scene of the incident and found that there were no surveillance machines to help clarify the events, which prompted it to move to the headquarters of the Egyptian Swimming Federation and seize the medical file of the deceased and a video clip that includes the full details of the incident. Surveillance recording devices were also seized to be emptied and all documents organizing the tournament in all its stages were seized, in addition to examining the player’s body and expediting the forensic department’s report to determine the cause of death and ensuring that the correct medical procedures were followed.
Investigations showed that Youssef Muhammad collapsed to the bottom of the pool after arriving at the end point of the race without the rescue officials or referees noticing him until 3 minutes and 34 seconds had passed during the next race activities, despite the presence of a medical crew and an ambulance in the pool. Place.
Schubert denounced the allegations that came out of the swimming federation regarding Youssef Muhammad’s use of stimulants, stressing that his mother agreed to an autopsy to prove his innocence.
Schubert added that his mother’s statements were “very painful,” stressing that her son was “a clean boy and a clean champion,” expressing the extent of the negligence that led to the death of the young player.
Continue The Public Prosecution summoned the president of the Egyptian Swimming Federation and specialists from the club in question to complete investigations and determine all responsibilities in this incident that shook the Egyptian sports community.
