Zelensky discusses with the heads of NATO, the European Council and the European Commission efforts to bring peace to Ukraine

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, discussed with the Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Mark Rutte, the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in Brussels, steps to achieve peace.

 

The Office of the Ukrainian President announced, in a statement, today, Tuesday, that Zelensky discussed – during the meeting – diplomatic efforts with the American side aimed at achieving a just peace. Guaranteed, Ukraine is keen to continue the peace process with a clear focus on protecting sovereignty and national interests.

 

The statement explained that the two parties agreed that the framework document should clearly define the date of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, and they discussed concrete security guarantees that would form the basis for Ukraine and Europe’s long-term flexibility.
