المملكة: The number of people injured in the Japanese earthquake has risen to 50, and aftershock warnings have been issued

The number of Injuredcaused by An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 struck northeastern Japan killing at least 50 people, after disrupting transportation and water supplies and closing schools.
Japanese Kyodo News quoted the Meteorological Agency as saying that the catastrophic earthquake, which struck at 11:15 pm yesterday, off the eastern coast of Aomori Prefecture at a depth of 54 kilometers, may be followed by a similar or larger earthquake in the coming days.
This is the first time the agency has issued such an alert, which was created for the coastal areas of Hokkaido and Sanriku after the massive March 2011 earthquake and tsunami that devastated northeastern Japan. The alert covers (182) municipalities in seven prefectures from Hokkaido to Chiba, east of Tokyo.
Medical aid
The chief secretary of Japanese Cabinet Minoru Kihara said in a statement that (31) patients out of about (80) patients in a hospital damaged by the earthquake in Mutsu, Aomori Prefecture, were transferred to nearby facilities at the hospital’s request by the disaster medical assistance team, firefighters and the Self-Defense Forces.
The government reported that about (1,360) homes in Aomori and Iwate Prefectures were without water due to damaged pipes.
/>Classes were canceled in (139) public elementary, middle, and high schools in Aomori Prefecture, and (48) schools in Hokkaido, according to the Ministry of Education and local authorities in Japan.
Population Evacuation
Injuries were reported in Hokkaido, in addition to Aomori and Iwate Prefectures, while dozens remained in evacuation centers as of Tuesday morning.
No abnormal incidents were reported at nuclear power plants in Hokkaido or in the northeastern prefectures of Aomori, Miyagi and Fukushima.
Tokyo Electric Power Holdings announced that it had stopped pumping treated water from the disabled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant into the sea after tsunami warnings were issued, but it has now resumed operation.
The Nuclear Regulatory Authority indicated that no safety problems had been detected in The power station operated by Tokyo Electric Power Company.
