The Community Development Authority in Dubai organizes a programme "Start it right" For those about to get married

Dubai, June 20 / WAM / The Community Development Authority in Dubai organized the “Start It Right” program as part of the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Family Programme, as part of its efforts to enhance family stability and empower those about to get married with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a stable and sustainable marital life in line with the objectives of the “Dubai Social Agenda 33”, which places the family at the heart of community development and seeks to enhance the quality of life and family cohesion in the emirate.

The program comes within a system of initiatives implemented by the Authority to enhance family awareness and social prevention by providing those about to get married with practical knowledge that contributes to building balanced family relationships capable of facing contemporary social challenges and changes.

The program included a series of awareness-raising and educational workshops and sessions that addressed a number of basic topics related to married life, including marital readiness, the plan for the first 100 days of marriage, digital balance in modern life, marital rights and duties, in addition to reproductive health, with the aim of preparing participants for a family life based on understanding, partnership and shared responsibility.

Dr. Hala Al-Ablam, Head of the Family Programs Department at the Community Development Authority in Dubai, confirmed that the “Start It Right” program reflects the Authority’s commitment to developing specific initiatives that contribute to preparing those about to get married and enabling them to build stable families capable of contributing to enhancing community cohesion.

Al-Ablam added that the Authority is keen, through this program, to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to deal with various aspects of marital and family life, based on its belief that investing in family building represents an investment in the sustainability and well-being of society. We also continue to develop the training content of the program to keep pace with social changes, respond to the needs of young people, and contribute to enhancing their readiness to build successful and sustainable family relationships.

For her part, Dr. Naima Al Shamsi, Director of the Family Development Department at the Community Development Authority in Dubai, said that the “Start It Right” program embodies the Dubai Community Development Authority’s approach towards investing in the family as the basic building block in building a cohesive and sustainable society, noting that the Authority adopts a proactive approach based on enhancing awareness and social prevention by providing those about to get married with the knowledge and skills that help them build stable family relationships capable of facing future challenges.

Al Shamsi added that the program is in line with the objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which places the family at the heart of development, stressing that the Authority continues to develop qualitative initiatives and effective partnerships that contribute to enhancing the quality of life and consolidating the values ​​of family and community cohesion in a way that supports the sustainability of social stability and enhances the readiness of future generations to contribute to the comprehensive development process.

For her part, Alia Al Muhairi, Advisor to the Digital City of the Dubai Digital Authority, confirmed that the Digital Balance in Modern Life session within the program highlighted the importance of the conscious and balanced use of technology in light of the accelerating digital transformation and its role in influencing the nature of marital and family relationships.

Al Muhairi pointed out that technology has become an essential part of the details of daily life, which requires strengthening digital culture among those approaching marriage and families in a way that ensures benefiting from its advantages while maintaining the quality of family communication and human relations. Through this session, we seek to consolidate the concepts of digital balance and promote practices that support family stability and maintain family and community cohesion.
