91 contestants from 24 countries participate in the second round of "Baha Abu Dhabi Challenge"

Abu Dhabi, December 11 / WAM / Competitions for the second round of the third season of the Baha Abu Dhabi Challenge will begin next Saturday in Liwa in the Al Dhafra region, organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and in cooperation with the Emirates Motor and Motorcycle Organization.
The organizing committee confirmed that the tour will witness the participation of 91 racers from 24 countries, including 22 Emirati drivers, in an event that brings together an elite group of professionals and amateurs in the Liwa region, which is considered one of the most prominent desert destinations in the UAE for lovers of driving on sand dunes, and its sandy hills are characterized by their various heights, making it an ideal environment for organizing short desert racing competitions.
The tour includes 58 motorcycles, 8 quads, 8 cars, and 17 buggies, on a desert sand track more than 100 kilometers long, across 4 laps extending through the soft sand dunes of the Al Dhafra Desert, offering a unique experience that combines skill, speed, and endurance.
Contestants from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Britain, Germany, France, South Africa, the United States, India, Russia, Lebanon, Canada, Switzerland, Ireland, Uzbekistan, China, Lithuania, Italy, Pakistan, Romania, Ukraine, Denmark and Spain are participating in the challenge.
The challenge also witnesses a prominent presence of the female component through the participation of a group of female drivers who add a distinctive competitive character in the various categories, and they are: Hailey Honor (South Africa – motorcycles), Son Schaeffler (South Africa – motorcycles), Tracy Pia Zogheib (Lebanon – motorcycles), Emilia Gelazninkini (Lithuania – Buggy), and Emirati Noura Al Jassasi (cars). This female participation reflects the championship’s commitment to supporting the presence of women in Motor sports and enhancing its participation in international competitions.
His Excellency Talal Mustafa Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said that the second round of the Baha Abu Dhabi Challenge represents an important milestone in the third season’s competitions, given the wide participation it is witnessing that brings together professional and amateur drivers in a distinctive competitive atmosphere, pointing to the Council’s keenness to apply the highest safety standards in all stages of the event, in a way that enhances the participants’ experience and guarantees them an ideal environment for performance.
The organizing committee announced that the technical inspection and administrative audit will begin tomorrow from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., and on the day of the race, registration will begin from 6:00 to 7:30 a.m., followed by a driver briefing, then the official start of the first batch at 8:30 a.m., with the coronation ceremony taking place at 11:00 a.m. on the awards platform at the finish line.
