Saif bin Zayed honors the supporters of Al Faraj Fund
Abu Dhabi, December 12 / WAM / Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, honored a group of donors and supporters of the Al Faraj Fund from various institutions, sectors and individuals, in appreciation of their tangible efforts in supporting the Fund’s humanitarian initiatives, and enhancing its role in extending a helping hand to inmates, indigent convicts, and their families at the state level.
His Highness appreciated the contributions of the supporting bodies that had a great impact on the continuation of the Fund’s programs and the achievement of its humanitarian mission, stressing that charitable work in the UAE represents a solid approach that reflects the values of the wise leadership and the UAE society.
Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, honored the office of Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan for its support of the Al Faraj Fund, where the medal and certificate were received by Sheikh Zayed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.
His Highness also honored the Sheikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Charitable Foundation for its sponsorship and support of the Al Faraj Fund. During the ceremony, a video was shown showing some of the achievements of the Al Faraj Fund, and it showed the most prominent achievements of the Fund for the year 2024, where more than 5,151 inmates and insolvent convicts benefited from its assistance in various parts of the country, with a total of 84 million dirhams. The impact of this giving extended to reach more than 8,374 beneficiaries, and contributes to alleviating the burdens on 3,223 families through initiatives that contribute to preserving dignity and enhancing family stability. And social. Families also benefited from the Fund’s campaigns, which included Ramadan food, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha clothing, and a back-to-school campaign.
The Fund’s initiatives also diversified during the year to include social and charitable initiatives in all the emirates of the country, including: Ramadan Meer, “Eidiati”, holiday clothing, returning to school, providing medical glasses, and supporting the events center in the Emirate of Fujairah, in addition to the continuous development of the Fund’s website and smart applications, in addition to concluding charitable and strategic partnerships, including a cooperation agreement with the Zayed Humanitarian Foundation, and providing support for the “Family Happiness Forum” initiative.
His Excellency Khalil Daoud Badran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Faraj Fund, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, for his continuous patronage and support for the Fund’s mission, stressing that honoring donors and supporters represents a great incentive to continue the process of giving.
He said: “The achievements that have been achieved would not have been possible without the support of the wise leadership and the trust of our institutional and individual partners, who embodied with their noble values the values of goodness and giving in the UAE society. The Fund continues to strengthen its humanitarian efforts to serve the inmates and their families, expand its partnerships, and advance its initiatives that aim to achieve family stability and provide opportunities to start a new life.”
He stressed the Al Faraj Fund’s commitment to continuing its humanitarian journey in accordance with the vision of the wise leadership, and with a broad community partnership that enhances the values of tolerance and solidarity in the UAE.
