The United Nations adopts a resolution preventing the displacement and starvation of Palestinians in Gaza
On Friday, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on Israel to implement the decision of the International Court of Justice to bring aid into the Gaza Strip.
The resolution obliges Israel to provide food, water, medicine and shelter to the residents of the besieged Strip, and not to obstruct relief operations.
It also calls on the occupation authorities not to displace and starve civilians and restrict the work of the United Nations.
The resolution affirms the responsibility of the United Nations towards the Palestinian issue until a solution is reached. Comprehensive.
It is noteworthy that since October 2023 – with American support – Israel has launched a war of extermination against the residents of the Gaza Strip, which included killing, starvation, destruction and forced displacement, ignoring international calls to stop the war and the orders of the International Court of Justice, which caused the martyrdom of more than 63 thousand Palestinians, most of them women and children, and about 160 thousand injured.
