Dubai hosts 13 fights in the World Boxing Championship

The competitions of the 23rd edition of the Men’s World Boxing Championship “UAE 2025”, the largest event in the history of the game, which is held under the supervision of the International Boxing Federation (IBA), will conclude tomorrow evening, Saturday, at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Dubai, with unprecedented financial prizes amounting to 8 million US dollars.
The final bouts precede the International Boxing Federation General Assembly meetings, scheduled to be held tomorrow afternoon with the participation of representatives of the 118 federations participating in the tournament, in an important station that coincides with the global event held in Dubai.
The closing evening will witness the holding of 13 fights for gold medals after days of strong competition in the qualifying rounds, which took place in Dubai with the participation of international champions.
The fights start from the sub-flyweight (46-48 kg) up to the super-heavyweight (+92 kg), with the participation of the most prominent boxers who excelled in the previous rounds. In the sub-flyweight, the Russian Khodoyan Edmund meets the Azerbaijani Mammadov Subhan, and in the flyweight, the Uzbek Dostomatov Hasanbai faces the Russian Bataliev Paire, while the bantamweight witnesses a confrontation between the Russian Rogozin Vyacheslav and the Kazakh.
