Nasrawi’s victory is not enough. Al Ain qualifies for the Professional Cup final

Al Ain reserved its seat as a second party in the final match of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Football Cup, despite losing to Al Nasr, 0-2, in the match that took place at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium this evening, benefiting from its victory in the first leg by three goals for nothing.

Al-Nasr entered the match with the best possible start when it took the lead with a goal through Bernard Mensah, with a long-range shot that goalkeeper Khaled Issa did not succeed in dealing with in the “5th” minute.

Many expected the dean to continue in the same manner until he retreated without justification, which gave Al Ain the opportunity to rearrange its cards again, to obtain many opportunities. Laba Kodjo wasted the leader’s most dangerous chance in the first half when he was in a position alone in the goal before putting the ball next to the post.

Al-Nasr goalkeeper Ahmed Shambeh suffered a neck injury, and was replaced by substitute goalkeeper Abdullah Al-Tamimi.

Defender Rami Rabia missed another scoring opportunity with a header after a corner ball, but it went over the crossbar.

Hossein Rahimi followed suit, wasting another attempt to score from a ball he received while facing the goal, only to shoot it into the stands.

In the second half, Al-Nasr regained its activity and danger again and forced Al-Ain to retreat, which prompted Al-Zaeem’s coach to think about introducing his Moroccan striker, Sufyan Rahimi, in an attempt to adjust the result and stop the dean’s awakening.

“Rahimi” actually almost achieved what Serbian Vladimir Ivic had planned for him, when he was alone in the goal, but the Al-Nasr goalkeeper brilliantly blocked the attempt.

Al-Nasr was able to snatch another goal after a perfect cross from Zayed Al-Zaabi, which was pounced on by Ramon Merez into the net (65).

This goal was enough to increase the morale of Al-Nasr players to equalize the first-leg result, so they continued to put pressure on Khaled Issa’s goal, but Al-Ain’s defense presented its best period in the match and repelled all dangerous attempts.
