المملكة: Concepts of fair access and prevention…a field campaign in Jeddah to introduce your health rights

Launch King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah, a member of the Second Jeddah Health Cluster, conducted a large field awareness campaign in a number of public locations in Jeddah Governorate, coinciding with the World Universal Health Coverage Day, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness and consolidate the concepts of equitable access to health services, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The clinical education team at the complex implemented the campaign with the aim of highlighting the concept of universal health coverage. Its importance is in ensuring that all members of society receive the health services they need with high quality and without being exposed to financial burdens, which contributes to improving public health indicators and promoting prevention and health awareness.

The educational team explained to the visitors that comprehensive health coverage is based on ensuring comprehensive and equitable access to health services, improving the quality and efficiency of the care provided, in addition to promoting the concepts of preventive health, which reflects positively on the health of the individual and society alike.

The campaign focused on Four main axes represent the essence of comprehensive health coverage, which are easy access to health services, quality treatment according to the highest standards of efficiency, and protection from costs in a way that reduces the financial burden resulting from treatment, in addition to the continuity of health care for all segments of society without exception.

This campaign comes in support of the efforts of the Jeddah Health Assembly in achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 under the slogan “Towards an integrated and fair health system that puts people first,” based on prominent national achievements in this field, including the high percentage of health insurance coverage. for more than 80% of the population, and a decrease in maternal and child mortality rates, in addition to the rapid development of electronic health services.

These awareness initiatives embody the vital role played by the King Abdullah Medical Complex in Jeddah in promoting community health, and actively contributing to the comprehensive health transformation process that the Kingdom is witnessing, ensuring a more efficient and sustainable health system and a better quality of life for all.
