The third edition of the Khorfakkan Marine Festival begins on the 26th of this month

Khor Fakkan, December 17, 2017 – The city of Khor Fakkan will host, from December 26 to January 4, the third edition of the Marine Festival, organized by the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club and the Al Sharqiya Canal from Kalba, with the participation of 9 countries.

The festival’s organizing committee announced that the list of participating countries includes the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, Zanzibar, India, Iran, and Iraq.

His Excellency Khaled Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, confirmed that organizing the third edition of the festival reflects the club’s keenness to consolidate the position of the Emirate of Sharjah as a leading center for marine and heritage events at the regional and international levels.

He added that the events include providing an integrated experience that combines marine sports, heritage shows, and community and recreational activities, which contributes to supporting marine tourism, stimulating economic activity in the city of Khor Fakkan, and enhancing its presence as a distinctive tourist destination.
