Peskov: Sanctions harm the strengthening of relations between countries

 Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that any sanctions would harm the strengthening of relations between countries.

 

The TASS news agency indicated that The Russian newspaper pointed out that Peskov’s statements come in response to a question about whether the potential new US sanctions against Russia, which Bloomberg reported, might harm the strengthening of relations between Moscow and Washington and negatively affect the Ukrainian settlement, as the Russian official said: “Any sanctions harm the strengthening of relations, this is self-evident.”

 

Earlier, a Bloomberg report, citing sources, stated that the United States is preparing new sanctions against the sector. Russian energy in the event that the peace agreement on Ukraine, which is currently being negotiated, is not concluded.

 

He added that new restrictions may be announced as early as this week.
