The Minister of Sports announces the return of Nima Saeed from retirement in preparation for the Los Angeles Olympics

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, announced the return of champion Nima Saeed, the national weightlifting team player, from retirement, following a meeting between them, in the presence of her brother and leaders of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, within the framework of the state’s plan to support Olympic champions and early preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
During the meeting, the Minister of Youth and Sports discussed ways to introduce the player Nima. Saeed, a weightlifter, is part of the comprehensive care programs implemented by the Ministry for distinguished champions, stressing the state’s keenness to provide a supportive environment that helps athletes achieve the best results and raise Egypt’s name in international forums, especially in games in which Egypt has a strong history and fingerprints, such as weightlifting.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi directed that the obstacles that the athlete have been facing during the last period be removed, with a comprehensive medical examination conducted in coordination with the Supreme Committee for Athletes Welfare, for her return once again to the National Project for Talent and Olympic Champion, This ensures that they are prepared physically, artistically and psychologically according to the latest scientific programs, within the Ministry’s vision to rebuild the system of Olympic champions and create a generation capable of competing and winning medals in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
