The Head of State and the Prime Minister of Norway discuss by telephone the relations of the two countries and regional developments

Abu Dhabi, December 23 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, today received a phone call from His Excellency Jonas Gahr Sture, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway, during which they discussed enhancing cooperation and joint work between the two countries in various fields, especially economic, investment and development, which serve their common interests and enhance the two countries’ visions towards development and prosperity.
During the call, the two sides also reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common interest and exchanged views on them, most notably the developments taking place in the region, stressing the necessity of maintaining the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and continuing the flow of humanitarian relief aid to its residents in sufficient quantities through all available means and without obstacles.
The two sides stressed their keenness to continue joint work to enhance peace and stability in the Middle East and the world and to cooperate in confronting common global challenges.
They also affirmed the two countries’ support for all efforts that push towards finding a political path in the region based on the “two-state solution.”
