Sharjah Police confirms its readiness to welcome the year 2026

The Sharjah Police General Command confirmed the readiness of its security plans and the completion of its field and operational preparations to welcome the new Gregorian year 2026, with the aim of consolidating community security and enhancing the elements of safety and well-being while maintaining the flow of traffic in various regions of the emirate.

This came during the meeting of the General Department of Operations and Security Support, which was held today at the command headquarters, headed by the Director General of the General Department of Operations and Security Support of Sharjah Police, Brigadier General Omar Al Ghazal, to review the approved package of security and traffic measures, which included intensifying the security presence in vital sites, event and celebration areas, and sites for launching fireworks, in addition to public facilities and external roads, in order to enhance the flow of traffic and raise levels of general safety for the public, in addition to increasing the readiness of operating rooms around the clock, supported by qualified human cadres and advanced technical systems to ensure rapid response. Dealing promptly and efficiently with reports and emergency cases.

Brigadier General Omar Al-Ghazal stressed the need to strengthen field coordination with strategic partners and take all preventive measures to ensure a safe and stable atmosphere during the celebrations. He called on the public to adhere to the instructions and guidelines issued by the police officers present at the event sites and to display civilized behavior that reflects community awareness and responsibility, avoid negative behaviors and cooperate with the security and traffic teams to ensure their safety and the safety of others. He stressed the readiness of the call center (999) for emergency cases and (901) for non-emergency cases.
