Weightlifting Federation wins membership " West Asia Executive"
Doha, December 25 / WAM / The UAE Weightlifting Federation, represented by Mohammed Al Naqbi, Executive Director, won membership in the Executive Office of the West Asian Federation, during the elections that were held yesterday on the sidelines of the West Asian and Arab Championships and the Qatar Cup currently being held in the Qatari capital, Doha, for the junior, youth and adult categories.
On the other hand, our national team will conclude its participation in the three tournaments tomorrow with the participation of Ali Al-Humairi, weighing 94 kg in the junior category, Ezzedine Al-Ghafir, weighing 102 kg, in the adult category, and Moayed Al-Najjar, in the competition weighing more than 102 kg, in the adult category as well.
Hamad Juma Al-Ajmi, a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Technical Committee, said that winning 15 medals in tournaments recently reinforces ambitions to achieve more distinguished results, explaining that the participation of player Ali Al-Humairi is an important milestone within the Federation’s strategy, to prepare generations of promising elements to compete in future foreign championships.
