"Egyptian Central Bank" Reduces key yield rates by 100 basis points

Cairo, December 25 / WAM / The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Egypt decided at its meeting today to reduce the overnight deposit and lending rates and the Central Bank’s main operation rate by 100 basis points to 20.00%, 21.00% and 20.50%, respectively.

It also decided to reduce the credit and discount rates by 100 basis points to reach 20.50%.

This decision reflects the committee’s assessment of the latest inflation developments and expectations since its previous meeting.
