Russia extends gasoline export restrictions until the end of next February

Moscow, December 27, 2026 – The Russian government officially announced the extension of temporary restrictions on gasoline exports abroad until February 28, 2026, in a move aimed at ensuring the stability of the internal fuel market and maintaining the balance of prices and supplies within the country, according to a decree published on.

The decision includes all exporters, including direct fuel production companies. The restrictions were not limited to gasoline only, as they also included diesel, marine fuel, and other types of gas oils destined for countries that do not produce them, until the end of February, after the export restrictions were scheduled to end this month.
